Xbench Connector

Lingotek LQA + ApSIC Xbench: Automating & Integrating Translation Quality Assurance. Lingotek and ApSIC have teamed up to improve LQA capabilities for Xbench and Lingotek Users.

Lingotek Xbench Connector

ApSIC Xbench provides simple and powerful quality assurance and terminology management tools in a single package. Just load files in any of the dozens of CAT formats supported and get your translation quality to the next level.

The Lingotek Xbench Connector simplifies the process of analyzing translation quality using Xbench. Users can leverage their investment in Xbench checklists and QA workflows that they are already familiar with such as instant spell-checking, consistency checks, canned QA checks, checklists, etc.

Using Lingotek’s cloud-based translation and localization network, the new Lingotek – Xbench Connector features a solution that ease the manual burden of launching in new markets while improving language consistency, cutting costs, and enabling customers to deliver their brand to consumers abroad in the quickest and most effective way possible.

Features & Benefits

Cloud Translation Management System (TMS)
An Xbench user can now manage translation directly inside the Xbench platform, so there is no need to learn another application. You can access the workbench from any Xbench page to see real-time translation status for each language.
Continuous Translation
Once the linguist completes the translation in Lingotek, the connector pushes it back into Xbench, automatically rebuilding the multilingual version of the page. No knowledge of Xbench or coding is required.
Customizable Workflow
Setup default translation workflows, assignments, and publishing settings to automate many steps of the translation process. Save time, project management, and overhead by automating the publication process.
Cloud-based Management of Linguistic Assets
Reuse translation memories (TM) to reduce cost and increase speed and accuracy. Because content can be vastly different in different parts of your website, you can use different TM databases for each web directory. Use custom TM vaults, glossaries, and style guides for any project to customize where and when you leverage your TM.
Translation Profiles
Assign custom translation profiles to Xbench projects using Lingotek Cloud Configurations. Save time and overhead by creating and reusing translation settings on the page, directory, or website of your choice.
Bulk File Management
Bulk file management to select several documents and languages at once.
Business Intelligence
Business intelligence that collects data and analytics to aggregate translation performance data across the enterprise.
Translation to Match Your Quality Needs
Bring translation, formatting, and review together in real time to see layout in context before downloading to Xbench. Check character-based languages for page display issues and preview content for to check for fit and layout.
In-Context Workbench
Bring translation, formatting, and review together in real time to see layout in context before downloading to Xbench. Check character-based languages for page display issues and preview content for to check for fit and layout.

Filesystems Connector

The Lingotek Filesystem Connector makes requesting and managing translation easier than ever. Our powerful command line utility makes it possible to quickly add content, request translations, and view completed translations right from your desktop. Once you’ve created your project in the Lingotek Translation Management System (TMS), you can easily manage your translations right from your desktop by simply dragging and dropping any file you need translated. When the translations are complete, they will automatically be sent to your desktop folder. The Lingotek Filesystem Connector replaces the old, time-consuming, offline translation process and replaces it with cloud-based networked translation that is faster and more secure. Finally. Networked Translation.

To Request Translation, Just Drag Your File to a Folder

  • Create your project in the Lingotek TMS.
  • Next, create folders for your desktop:
    • Requested Translations
    • Completed Translations
      • Organize by target language. Users can designate a separate download folder for each target language, if desired.
  • Choose the files you’d like to translate. They can be presentations, spreadsheets, documents, or text files.
  • Simply drag the files you want to translate into the Requested Translation folder.
  • Your files will automatically be downloaded into Lingotek’s TMS.

Monitor Your Projects in the Lingotek TMS

From the Lingotek TMS, you can see which files have been automatically downloaded into the TMS. The files you’ve selected will be shown and the target languages are conveniently displayed on the screen. This makes it easy to monitor your translation status and to  manage and synchronize projects. The TMS also allows you to manage workflows, monitor projects, choose filter configurations, and more.

Additionally, you can manage workflows, monitor projects, choose filter configurations, and more.

Automatic Upload of Finished Translations

When translation is complete, they will automatically be downloaded to your Completed Translations folder. This change will automatically be sent for translation so your information is always current and up to date.
