Invitation Emails
A client can use the Lingotek platform to contact ProZ.com members via email. There are two types of emails:

  • Invitations to share contact details
  • Invitations to work on a translation project (job offer)

Sharing Contact Details
An invitation to share contact details will allow a client to add a ProZ.com member’s information to their Contact List in the Lingotek Platform. This will make it easy for the client to contact the member for future work.

The ProZ.com member will receive an email with the subject “Invite to share contact information”.
To share your contact information:

Click the link in the invitation email to be directed to the Lingotek gateway.

Click the Accept button to accept the invitation.

Click the “Accept invitation and send profile information” button.

Accepting an invitation to share contact details does not mean you have accepted a job. You will have the opportunity to review project details and discuss with the client before taking on an assignment.

Accepting a Job Offer
An invitation to work on a translation project allows a client to contract with you for services.
The ProZ.com member will receive an email with the subject “Task invite”.

Click the link in the email to be directed to the Lingotek gateway.

Click the Accept button to accept the invitation.

Click the “Accept invitation and send profile information” button.

Opening the Lingotek Workbench
Accepted jobs appear under the Accepted Jobs section of the Lingotek gateway.
Click the “Open in Lingotek” button to open the Lingotek Workbench and being working on the project.

Note: jobs to Review a translation may require the translation phase to be completed before the Review can begin. In this case, the job status will show as “accepted”.

After the translation phase is complete, the “Open in Lingotek” button would appear so the Review phase could be started.
